Jackie Crane has worked in the accounting profession for nearly 11 years – an impressive length of service for a young member under the age of 30.

She is an award-winning Chartered Accountant who started her career in Cornwall where she joined the committee of the South West Student Society and became an ICAEW Student Council representative.

During her studies, Jackie won international and regional prizes for her exam marks, was named as one of Cornwall’s Top 30 under 30 and has recently been shortlisted for three Women in Accountancy awards.

In 2019, Jackie won ICAEW’s #CharteredStar competition and attended the One Young World summit in London. Since then, she has appeared as a panellist at ICAEW Council Conference, an IFAC (International Federation of Accountants) meeting which discussed the skills required for the young accountant and has also started a working group on modern slavery with her One Young World ambassador peers.

Jackie moved to Manchester in 2019 and has recently joined a forward thinking, fresh-feel accountancy firm, Mitten Clarke Limited as an accountant and auditor. She is in the process of creating a blogging website which aims to help share the knowledge she has gained over her career to help others identify and develop their skills needed for the profession.
